The veterinary blood bank process management software developed by Arteries is a comprehensive, modular system that digitises and automates the entire blood bank operation of veterinary laboratories. The solution is designed to increase efficiency, reduce administrative burden and ensure continuous customer contact. The functionalities of the system cover the following main areas:

Customer and patient management

  • Client relationship module: the system provides integrated PLIMS (Laboratory Information Management System) functionality to ensure up-to-date management of client data, contact management and documentation of services.
  • Patient and donor management: Detailed records of blood donors, including medical data, test results and donation history.


Order and financial management

  • Order management: accurate administration, tracking and fulfillment of blood product orders submitted by customers with PLIMS integration.
  • Online payment solutions: integrated payment systems ensure fast and secure transactions.


Screening tests and document management

  • Screening test management: Automatically manage test dates, results recording and status.
  • Document management: digital recording and production of all administrative documents (e.g. blood donor declarations, test results).


Blood product manufacturing and logistics

  • Blood product manufacturing: digitalised tracking of the entire blood product processing chain, from receipt of the raw material to the final product.
  • Storage and disposal: Accurate record keeping of the storage of products, including monitoring of expiry dates and administration of disposal processes.
  • Couriers and parcel logistics: management of deliveries from requisition to delivery, including parcel management.


Site and staff management

  • Site management: centralised database management of laboratories across multiple sites, taking into account site-specific stocks and needs.
  • Staff entry: recording and assigning staff data to tasks, optimising workflows.
  • Authorisation management: providing role-based access and permissions to ensure data security.


Automation and integration

  • Integration of laboratory automats: the system can be connected online to different laboratory automats, whose test results are automatically loaded, avoiding manual data entry errors.
  • Workflow automation: the system monitors and administers blood bank workflows, providing alerts and automated steps to support efficiency.

The software is designed to provide veterinary laboratories with fast and accurate management of blood bank data, while providing transparency to the processes. Thanks to its modularity, it can be flexibly adapted to the operation of laboratories of different sizes and needs.

The package price includes the installation, commissioning and training of the system, but does not include the one-off and ongoing costs of the basic IT infrastructure required for operation.
