BinX – native mobile app and web development – case study

The project

 Our client, BinX Zrt. is a fintech service provider licensed by the MNB and created by the founders of Számlázz.hu.

Our client’s goal was to provide digital financial services primarily to small and medium sized enterprises through a modern, understandable and easy-to-use interface. The platform is available:

  • for Android from the Google Play Store
  • for iOS from the Apple App Store
  • and on the web.

The project is the result of two and a half years of collaborative work, where several teams have developed together in unified sprints and ticketing systems.

The task was to design and implement a completely new system, meeting the strict legal and security requirements of the financial sector.

The service was launched in December 2023 and became available to the general public on 6 June 2024.

 

The client

BinX Zrt., the first neobank for small and medium-sized enterprises in Hungary.

The task

Arteries is responsible for building the front-end solution for Android, iOS and web platforms, in conjunction with back-end services developed by other BinX partners. Our graphic design/UX team was praised. And our backend team was tasked with building a CMS service to support the management of downloadable documents, as well as multilingual support and easy editing and management of the website.

Our solution

The need for security requirements and platform-specific solutions has led to all the arguments in favour of developing native applications. In addition, a web-accessible front-end interface was developed.

The user identifies himself/herself using a mobile application. Implementing a registration process that meets strict requirements was a big part of the project.

Without being exhaustive, the following solutions developed by us are used by prospective BinX users during the registration process:

  • Biometric identification
  • Camera handling for document photography
  • Making a video for face recognition
  • Read the NFC chip of documents
  • Secure communication

Neobank services are available from mobile apps and via the web. Web access requires a registered mobile device.
